Miss Dior - 'La vie en rose'

Morning All, 

I was mesmerized by Nitalie Portman and her make-up in the Miss Dior Perfume commercial, so chic and "simple" that I was forced to recreate it!

I mainly used colours from the Sleek Storm Palette -link here- 

and I am sure the Dior Crew did too :-P - and my Dior Rose Diamond Highlighter/Powder for blusher... I really hope you like it because I loveeeeeee it!!

Sono rimasta ipnotizzata dalla bellezza di Natalie Portman e del suo make-up nella pubblicità per il profumo Miss Dior, così chic e "semplice" che non ho potuto non ricrearlo!

Ho usato principalmente colori della palette Storm di Sleek -link here- sono sicura che i signori di Dior abbiano usato gli stessi prodotti :-P - e Dior Rose Diamond Highlighter/Powder sulle gaunce e sugli rigomi come blush... spero proprio che vi piaccia!

1- From the Sleek Storm Palette, I used the light champagne all over the lid,

2- With an angled brush I then traced a thick line along the upper lash line mixing the blue from the Storm Palette and the Stila Botura Matte eye-shadow.

3- I then applied a tiny amount of the pink from the Storm Palette along the crease

4- With a pencil brush I lined the lower lash line with Bourjois Violet Absolu

5- Plenty of mascara on top and bottom lashes

6- A soft swipe of Dior Rose Diamond - more the rosy side - along my cheek bone and apple of the cheek!

1- Dalla Palette Storm di Sleek, ho sfumato il colore champgne su tutta la palpebra,

2- Con un pennello angolato ho poi delineato con una linea spessa, lungo le ciglia superiori, combinando il blu della palette Storm di Sleek e il viola matte si Stila, Botura.

3- Sempre dalla palette Storm di Sleek, ho utilizzato il colore rosa chiaro sfumandolo nella piega dell'occhio per dare un po' di dimensione allo sguardo

4- Con un pennello a punta fina ho poi delineato la linea inferiore delle ciglia con il numero 72, Viola Absolute, di Bourjois.

5- Abbondante mascara sulle ciglia superiori e inferiori,

6- Un leggero tocco di Dior Rose Diamond sulle guance -  prendendo il prodotto più dalla parte rosata della palettina... e il gioco è fatto!

Leopard print makeup... grrrrrr...

Hello my Dears,

yesterday I was with my dear friend Lydia deciding the perfect look to go with her outfit for the Jay Z concert at the O2 Arena in London and I came out with this Leopard print eye look & soft pink lips!

Here are the simple steps:

1- I primed her lid with a concealer, all the lid up to the brow bone;
2- Using Elf Mineral Black Eye Liner I traced the shape of the eye shadow from the outer corner, half way across the lid, filling it all with the liner first and then blending with the black eye shadow from the Sleek Storm Palette.
3- Then I packed the gold eye shadow from the inner part of the eye up to the black, blending the 2 colours together.
4- Then with a pointed eyeliner brush I started tracing the "Cs" forming a flower kind of pattern in the centre of the lid.
5- I dabbed some of the H&M bronzy eyeshadow in the centre of each C to give them some depth.
6- I finished off with Rimmel Pink Blush Lipstick and contoured the cheeks with Elf Contouring Kit.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

Hello my Lovelies,


after a week of been naked, it is time to share with you my thoughts. This is an amazing product and it has a very good selection of nudes all in one palette but I should say that, during this week I have been missing some of my all time time favorites: first of all my dear Vanity Palette by Wet'n'Wild, bought in the States a year ago for less then 5$ and secondly, my beloved Storm Palette by Sleek, which costed me less the 7£. These two palettes contain colours not as fancy as the one in the Naked and this is what I personally look for in the morning!

Anyway...
PROs:
all in one palette: highlights, all over the lid everyday colours, darker colours to intensity the look.
compact and handy packaging
good quality make up
good value for money - each pan contains1.3 gr of eyeshadow
perfect for travelling and/or when in a hurry
original choice of colours 


CONs:
only 2 matte colours
missing green and blue shades 
too many undertones and reflexes -- sometimes I just need a straight colour!!! 

Here it is again, the iper-hyped, elegant, sleek, smooth, multitasking NAKED PALETTE:

P.S. this is my interpretation of the shades:
gunmetal -- in between light grey and light blue
creep -- in between dark grey and black
hustle -- purple with brown undertone
toasted -- old rose pink with light shimmer
half baked/smog/darkhorse -- great bronzy/goldy trio
sidecar -- unique light toupee pinky  brown with interesting glitters
buck -- brown with warm undertone
naked -- great matte all over the lid shade and perfect blending colour
virgin/sin -- great highliters or all over lid colour

My last and strictly personal comment is that if you buy it, I am sure you will like it;

if you don't, you are still going to survive!

ClioMakeup Docet!

Buongiorno Ragazze,

 questa mattina ho riprodotto in versione blu/turchese il bellissimo trucco proposto dalla dolce ClioMakeup  nel video Trucco Esaltata.

 Ho iniziato con Painterly di Mac su tutta la palpebra e un leggero velo di cipria per fissare la base cremosa. Ho poi aggiunto l'ombretto numero 3 di Kiko nella piega dell’occhio per dare un po' di profondità, cercando di sfumare verso l’esterno con il pennello 217 di Mac per allungare l'occhio. Ho proseguito tracciando una linea lungo la rima inferiore dell'occhio con la matita Rimmel, in modo da dare all'ombretto una base alla quale aderire. A questo punto ho iniziato a sfumare la matita con gli ombretti, utilizzando il turchese di Bourjois nell'angolo interno e nell'angolo esterno e poi ho concentrato un miscuglio di Plumage di Mac e del blu/viola di Sleek nella zona centrale, proprio nella zona sotto l'iride. Nell’angolo esterno dell'arcata sopraccigliare ho illuminato con il colore beige sempre dalla palettina di Sleek. Infine ho "condito" il tutto con un po' di mascara nero, applicandone una dose abbondante sulle ciglia superiori e un tocco alle ciglia inferiori, nella zona dell’ombretto più scuro…e questo è il risultato!!

Il look è molto carino e semplice da fare, ma nello stesso tempo d'effetto, sicuramente da provare! Vi consiglio di utilizzare un colore che complementi perfettamente il colore dei vostri occhi per un effetto ancora più accattivante. Per gli occhi nocciola penserei a un verde Oliva/pistacchio per far risaltare le sfumature chiare dell'iride e per gli occhi azzurri la combinazione viola/lilla per far risaltare ancora di più il blu!
