makeup organization - organizzazione makeup

Hello Everyone,

I was having a walk during my lunch break and bumped into this new shop called Tiger and in there I spotted the perfect makeup holder for my day-to-day makeup necessities and here it is:

This is a canvas container with 6 pockets and a plastic interior, it looks and hopefully it will be strong enough to hold my makeup and I love the fact that it has different compartments to store different items... of course I used them all and I put my powder/eyes/foundation brushes, all my pencils, concealers, primers and tools in different pockets around the bigger compartments that holds powders/blushes/eyeshadows... 

this looks so cool and tidy.. I hope it will last as it is now!

oggi, durante la mia pausa pranzo passeggiavo per il centro e mi sono imbattutta in un nuovo negozio, Tiger, e nella zona degli accessori da bagno, questo contenitore carinissimo ha catturato la mia attenzione. 

 E' un contenitore di tela con l'interno plasticato e 6 utilissime tasche, perfetto per contenete i prodotti e gli accessori che utilizzo ogni mattina per truccarmi!

Ho riempito ciascuna tasca dividendo i prodotti o accessori secondo la loro funzione - pennelli viso/occhi/fondotinta suddivisi in tre tasche, matite/mascara nella quarta tasca e correttori e primer nella quinta e sesta, tutti stretti in un affettuoso abbraccio intorno alla sezione centrale che contiene tutto il resto (brushes, ombretti e fondotinta).

Mac Satin Taupe and Quarry - the perfect match!

Hello Everyone, 

Buongiorno a tutti,

today is all about taupe and dusty purple and the main characters are satin taupe and quarry by Mac.

I hope you like the look!

I started by applying an eye primer and a generous layer of quarry, a gorgeous grayish/purple matte colour, all over the eyelid, bringing the colour just above the crease and along the lower lash line. I then added satin taupe, a grayish/ brown with a purple undertone and subtle shimmer, in the outer corner blending the colour in the crease to add depth and a hint of shimmer. Lastly I softened the edges with a subtle highlighter blending it toward the brow bone and inner corner. Plenty of mascara - my infallible Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara -  and a hint of Benefit Eyebright Pencil along the waterline and the look is completed!

I love this look because it's quite simple but the combination of colours and undertones make it appears even more elaborate. I love the warmth of quarry and the light shimmer of satin taupe and they make the perfect couple combined together!

oggi è giornata di tonalità autunnali, grigio e viola combinati insieme e i protagonisci del look non possono che essere 

satin taupe e quarry di Mac.. ed ecco il look:

Ho iniziato con l'applicare un primer e un generoso strato di quarry su tutta la palpebra, quest'ultimo è un ombretto matte grigio/viola, portando il colore oltre la piega dell'occhio e lungo la linea delle ciglia inferiori. Con satin taupe, un ombretto grigio/marrone con un leggero shimmer, ho intensificato l'angolo esterno dell'occhio e sfumato leggermente l'ombretto lungo la piega. Per ultimo ho utilizzato un illuminante nell'angolo interno e lungo l'arcata sopraccigliare per ammorbidire i bordi e rendere il tutto più sfumato e soft.

Tanto mascara - l'infallibile Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara naturalmente - e un velo leggero di matita rosa lungo la rima interna dell'occhio -  Benefit Eyebright.

Questo look mi piace molto perchè é semplice e allo stesso tempo completo. Adoro la combinazione dei toni caldi di quarry e il leggero shimmer di satin taupe, con la matita rosata nella rima interna per un look da giorno e con eyeliner nero e matita nella rima interna per un look da sera più intenso.

Perfetto per occhi verdi, azzurri e nocciola.

review-comparison revlon just bitten kissable and clinique chubby stick

I am back again with a review and this time is about the twins 

Chubby Stick by Clinique and Just Bitten Kissable by Revlon here posing together in the picture...

sono di nuovo qui con  una review e questa volta volevo parlarvi dei balsami labbra colorati che stanno spundando come funghi negli espositori delle varie marche cosmetiche. Io ne ho provati 2 e in particolare il Chubby Stick di Clinique e il Just Bitten Kissable della Revlon qui ritratti in una foto di gruppo...

revlon just bitten kissable in 010 - darling cherie - 7.99£: it's a lipbalm/tint in one and it is actually a good product, just in between the two categories. It has a slight minty flavour and goes smooth on the lips but I have to say that it doesn't have the staying power of a lip tint, at least the light shade I have.

clinique chubby stick in 06 woppin'watermelon - 15£: it is a very good lip balm and it really does what it says on the tin, colour and hydration. 

I have to say that I love both of them, especially for the balm&colour feature but not for the tint attempt of the Revlon one. The colour range is slightly different but the 2 brands can be combined to create the most amazing variety: Clinque tends to have a sheerer payoff while Revlon has amazing deep shades.

All in all I would repurchase Revlon for the good value of the product but Clinique for the feel on the lips, the colour and the effect of healthy and natural look that gives to my lips.

the choice is all yours now...

revlon just bitten kissable in 010 - darling cherie - Euro 12.10: è un matitone colorato per le labbra con un leggero sapore di menta, descritto come balsamo/tinta... di solito le tinte non sono molto idratanti ma hanno una buona tenuta e questo, in teoria dovrebbe combinare entrambe le cose. A mio parere, la verità è sempre nel mezzo e quindi direi che questo matitone ha sicuramente un buon effetto idratante e 

una buona tenuta ma certo non come una tinta!

clinique chubby stick in 06 woppin'watermelon - euro 17.00: anche questo è un matitone per le labbra che funge da balsamo colorato e qui sono d'accordo al 100%. Ottimo prodotto e bellissimo colore.

I due prodotti, oltre ad avere una leggera differenza di prezzo (in UK il matitone Revlon costa 8£ e il Chubby Stick ben 15£!),  sono molto simili: entrambi idratanti e con una buona tenuta. Il matitone di Clinique è un balsamo labbra colorato e does what it says on the tin, buona varietà di colori, morbido sulle labbra e leggermente lucido. Il matitone di Revlon ha una colorazione più intensa e la varietà dei colori tende a tonalità più scure, è leggermente meno idratante di quello Clinique e lo ritengo buono più un balsamo colorato che una tinta

 (le tinte per labbra non sono comunque il mio forte...). 

Direi che mi piacciono entrambi parecchio e riguardo il colour range quasi si complementano l'un l'altro! Il conclusione direi che per il rapporto qualità/prezzo - soprattutto in £ - ricomprerei quello Revlon perchè i due matitoni sono veramente moltooo simili (Il Chubby Stick ha la consistenza di un burro di cacao quindi durerà lo stesso tempo di un Labello!). Mentre, se parliamo di caratteristiche specifiche del prodotto preferisco quello di Clinique che risulta vellutato e morbido e dona un aspetto estremamente sano e naturale alle labbra.

the title is not about me wanting to encourage any consumerism but it is just to share with you the excitement of a new book, the smell of paper and ink and all the expectations in it...

After reading and loving Kafka on the Shore by Murakami - link - and looking for the perfect book to take with me on holiday, I thought I would give it a go hoping to find in the pages of 1Q84 the same intense story, full of deep and perfect images and feelings, all in a beautiful and flowing narration as 

in Kafka on the shore.

I will keep you posted!

il titolo non vuole certo incoraggiare alcun impulso consumista, ma è solo un bisogno di condivire la gioia di un nuovo libro che prevedo sarà intenso e bellissimo... profumo di inchiostro e stampa fresca, 2 bei volumi sostanzioni e tanta voglia di immergersi nella lettura...

Dopo aver letto e amato Kafka on the shore - link - e alla ricerca del libro perfetto per una settimana di vacanza al mare, ho deciso di riprovare con Murakami e spero vivamente che anche la storia di 1Q84 sia intensa, piena di sensazioni e immagini perfette e profonde, racchiuse in una scorrevole narrazione proprio come Kafka on the Shore.

vi farò sapere.

stavo riguardando questo video e non ho potuto fare a meno di dedicare un post a questo look di Nic delle Pixiwoo Sisters.

La forma data agli occhi è bellissima, allungata e ben definita, e il marrone con il suo sottotono caldo, sfumato nella piega della palpebra, rende meno severo il nero che circonda gli occhi.
