My Z Palette

Hi All,

this is just a quick post to show you my Z Palette..
(click here for all the information)

I bought mine from Amazon.co.uk, always a very reliable website, and I am very happy of the purchase: good size palette, steady look (hopefully it wont break!) and very versatile - you can create your own palette combining blushes, eye shadows, powders and brushes. I finally had the chance to collect in one palette all the eye shadows that I tend to neglect due to laziness and create a useful palette with some of my all-time- favourites... first of all the Maybelline squared eyeshadow at the bottom right of the palette.
First of all I depoppetd my eyeshadows warming up an old hair straightener, layered same grease-proof kitchen paper over the metallic plate, placed the eyeshadow over it for around 3 minutes to allow the heat to soften the glue and lastly I carefully clicked the pan out of the plastic container with a pair of scissors - of course the Kiko light blue pan was my first attempt...

very happy of my purchase and I really recommend it to everyone who wants to rediscover some forgotten gems of her makeup collections!

Ciao Bellezze,

Kiko 122 marrone castoro matte - taupe
Kiko 137 rame perlato - cranberry red
Kiko 109 verde matte - matte green
Kiko 03 - matte creamy beige
163 ceruleo - light blue

wet n wild - all the rectangular pans
ruby&millie - red - top left
MUA
L'oreal - green, purple, vanilla and blue
Maybelline - square green and purple/taupe on the left
Stila - one of my favoutite eyeshadows, dark matte purple (below kiko light blue)

October favs - I preferiti di ottobre

Hello Everyone,

a quick post to show you my 6 picks for the months of October and in a sense my face routine for the whole month! First of all I have been using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind under my eyes and around the nose to conceal dark circles and any discoloration around my chin area and the blend it onto the skin with the stippling brushed damped using the Avène water and the generously swirled into Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Natural, I blend all together and actually the more I blend the better coverage I get. One little trick is to place the brush first were I want more "colour" and then I start blending the powder as a bronzer, along the hollow of the cheeks and then I do the rest of the face. In this way I do 3 steps in one: concealer, bronzer and powder/foundation. To finish off with the face I use Dior Poudre Shimmer in Rore Diamond as highlighter/blusher and it really gives light to the face. For the eyes I have been using my Naked palette literally every single day: a light colour all over the lid and a darker one along the lash line for some definision.. a couple of coat of mascara and I am ready to jump off of the door!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Nude
Urban Decay Naked Palette no. 1
Dior Poudre Shimmer All Over Face Powder - Rose Diamond
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark
Avène Eau Thermale
Real Techniques Stippling Brush

My Xmas wishlist

Hello everyone,

I know deep into my hear that I don't need any of this, but I just hope that Father Christmas will read this post!

Saturday 3 November 2012

It always starts with a clean face...

Buongiorno and good morning,

after a long week at work, I really need to relax, have a walk along the seafront and drink a warm and nice soya cappuccino... but my Saturday starts with a clean and hydrated face!

1 – I always start with clean face, moisturiser, eye cream and lip balm;
2- Then concealer under the eye, around the nose and on the chin;
3 – I then take my MSF in natural applied with a dump stippling brush and blend it into the skin with the concealer;
4 – It is time to give my face a more skinny shape and I do a funny fish face for the bronzer to be applied under the cheek bone, up to the ears;
5 – MSF in gold deposit as highlighter and Melba blush on the apple of the cheeks;
6 – A wash of Naked Lunch all over the lid and Swiss chocolate  along the lower lash line, applied with a Q tip, mascara top and bottom;
7 – lipstick applied with fingers and the face is done….

I think that this makeup is also great for a job interview because it's subtle but at the same time highlights the face's main features. Also, it's good to make the skin glowy and healthy... perfect to hide the stress of a big day!
