Urdan Decay Naked Basics Palette

Morning All,

just a quick post to let you know my thoughts on the highly requested Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, queen of mattes and neutral shades!..

Buongiorno a tutte,

The name is perfect and this is really the basic tool to create a good makeup look. I see the palette as a all-in-one compact for highlighting/blending/defining the eye:

Venus and Foxy to Highlight brow bone/inner corner
W.O.S. and Naked 2 to Blend colour along the crease
Faint and Crave to Define lash line and outer corner

The colours are all very intense and smooth, perfect just for a wash of eye shadow or to pack a good amount of pigment over the lid. Out of the 6, my favourite is Crave, amazing black matte shade that is the best friend of a smokey eye or just used as eyeliner along the top and bottom lash line. Best performace achieved with the little help of an eye primer...
Last but not least, Naked 2 and Faint can be used to fill in the brows!

SO... great product, great quality, good price.

illuminare/sfumare/delineare l'occhio all in one:

QUINDI... grande prodotto, grande qualità, buon prezzo.

Have a good day

October favs - I preferiti di ottobre

Hello Everyone,

a quick post to show you my 6 picks for the months of October and in a sense my face routine for the whole month! First of all I have been using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind under my eyes and around the nose to conceal dark circles and any discoloration around my chin area and the blend it onto the skin with the stippling brushed damped using the Avène water and the generously swirled into Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Natural, I blend all together and actually the more I blend the better coverage I get. One little trick is to place the brush first were I want more "colour" and then I start blending the powder as a bronzer, along the hollow of the cheeks and then I do the rest of the face. In this way I do 3 steps in one: concealer, bronzer and powder/foundation. To finish off with the face I use Dior Poudre Shimmer in Rore Diamond as highlighter/blusher and it really gives light to the face. For the eyes I have been using my Naked palette literally every single day: a light colour all over the lid and a darker one along the lash line for some definision.. a couple of coat of mascara and I am ready to jump off of the door!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Nude
Urban Decay Naked Palette no. 1
Dior Poudre Shimmer All Over Face Powder - Rose Diamond
Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark
Avène Eau Thermale
Real Techniques Stippling Brush

get naked in 7 days -- day 6

Good morning Ladies,

Saturday, Saturday... this is the magic word! sleeping until late, nice long breakfast and some music!

Letizia, wake up... you have a million things to dooooooooo!

I don't know if it's the same for you, but I tend to wait until Saturday to do the most boring things ever... bank, post, food shopping... so I better hurry up!

Darkhorse: only one colour all over the lid and some turquoise pencil along the lower lashes... I love this colour because it really defines the eye without been too dark as long as it is worn only on the lid and well blended upwards.

p.s. this is perfect for blue eyes!

have a good day you all!!

get naked in 7 days -- day 1

Hello my lovelies,

I am sure everyone of you knows very well the Urban Decay Naked Palette, and probably owns the Naked 2 already... but I still would like to challenge myself for 7 days and post every day one look using ONLY a combination of colours featured in the palette. I said challenge first of all because I have many other eye shadows that I am loving and neglecting them for an entire week can be tough; also, in the morning, while I get ready to go to work I tend to use matte colours while the Urban Decay Naked Palette has only 2 mattes (Naked and Buck)!!!!

I will prove you that this palette is as versatile as pair of black trousers and you can still use it without looking shimmery as a disco ball!

SO, here is my MONDAY make up:

toasted: all over the lid, blended across the crease and all along the lower lash line,
hustle: in the outer corner of the eye, along the upper lash line and along the lower lash line to
half baked: in the centre of the eye lid.

Hope you like it!
