dopo aver visto il video della simpaticissima e bellissima Giuliana AKA MakeUpDelight, ho deciso di fare un post sui 10 prodotti che uso da anni, che continuo a ricomprare, che continuo ad amare e che non voglio abbandonare!! Pensandoci bene non posso dire che siano i miei prodotti preferiti, ma più la mia comfort zone del makeup e skincare... i 10 prodotti che mi danno sicurezza, di cui mi fido e che so che la mia pelle ama!

After watching Giuliana AKA MakeUpDelight's video, I thought that it was nice to write a post about my 10 most used and re-purchased products.. I like to call them my 10 comfort zone makeup/skincare items because I know how they are going to perform and how my skin is going to react... scroll below to see the picture and the list of them! :-))

Olay Day Fluid SPF15: crema giorno che utilizzo al mattino da almeno 4 anni. Non è assolutamente grassa e per me è perfetta anche d'estate... in genere le creme viso mi fanno sudare!! Riacquistata più di 5 volte.

TRESemmé Heat Defence styling spray: buonissimo spray per proteggere i capelli prima della messa in piega o della piastra. Ne spruzzo un po' sui capelli umidi prima di asciugarli e non li appensantisce o rende grassi... anzi ho l'impressione che i miei capelli abbiano bisogno di lavaggi meno frequenti!

Origins GinZin eye cream: ottima crema occhi con effetto illuminante, si assorbe velocemente e idrata in profondità. La mia zona occhi è migliorata da quando la uso con costanza... e un contenitorino da 15 ml dura anche 5 mesi!Riacquistato 2 volte.

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark: utilizzo questa cipria da quasi 2 anni e la trovo leggera e setosa, con una buona coprenza e un effetto estremamente naturale sulla pelle. Ultimamente la applico con uno stippling brush leggermente umido e ha quasi la coprenza di un fondotinta compatto. Prodotto ottimo e versatile... d'inverno, quando la mia pelle diventa un po' pallida, utilizzo questa tonalità più scura come bronzer. L'adoro! Acquistata una sola volta... giusto perchè dura tantissimo!

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Gold Deposit: includo questo prodotto in quasi tutti i post che scrivo... ottimo illuminante/bronzer/blush/ombretto per pelli olivastre o abbronzate (comunque lo utilizzo anche d'inverno quando sono palliduccia), per illuminare un po' il viso e dare un po' di calore alla pelle. Acquistato una sola volta.

Clinique All About Eyes Concealer in Light Golden: le occhiaie sono il mio costante problema e sono convinta che un contorno occhi ben illuminato dia all'intero viso una luce nuova e giovanile... e questo correttore è la mia arma segreta! Ne basta pochissimo e un tubetto dura una vita! Riacquistato 2 volte.

Bourjois Eye Pencis in Brun Design: le matite occhi di Bourjois sono ottime, buona tenuta, bei colori e prezzo contenuto! Riacquistata almeno 3 volte.

Miss Sporty Just Clear Mascara: a dire il vero è l'unico mascara trasparente che io abbia mai acquistato, ma lo trovo ottimo, super economico e perfetto per mantenere in ordine le sopracciglia!

Maybelline The Colossal Volume Mascara: volume volume volume... 7£ spese bene!

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Concealer in Nude: l'unica new entry nella mia routine quotidiana ma sono estremamente soddisfatta della performance di questo correttore, soprattutto per il viso... mi ricorda tanto il caro Dream Mousse Concealer sempre di Maybelline... Acquistato una sola volta.

Olay Day Fluid SPF15: I have been using this face cream every day for the last 4 years, great and not greasy - with SPF 15.

TRESemmé Heat Defense styling spray: I use it on dump hair before  blow-drying and it makes my hair feel soft and light. I also have the impression that everytime I use this spay my hair needs less frequent washes... good stuff!

Origins GinZin eye cream: my favourite eye cream ever. It highlights the under eye area hydrating it at the same time... one little jar can last up to 5 months!

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark: I have been using this powder for 2 years and I am in love with it! Good coverage, natural effect and light texture .. At the moment I am applying it with a dump stippling brush and the effect is amazing!

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Gold Deposit: this is one of my all-time favourite products... I use it as an highlighter, eyeshadow, bronzer and blush, especially when I am tanned..

Clinique All About Eyes Concealer in Light Golden:dark circles are my big concern and this little baby takes care of them amazingly... I just use a tiny bit of product, I warm it up with my finger tips and tap it gently along the under eye area... perfect!

Bourjois Eye Pencis in Brun Design: good quality and no smurge all for a fiver!

Miss Sporty Just Clear Mascara: perfect product to keep my brows tidy!

Maybelline The Colossal Volume Mascara: volume volume volume... 

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Concealer in Nude: this little baby reminds me of the Dream Mousse Concealer... nice texture and coverage. Maybelline People why it is not sold in the UK????

September favs - Preferiti di settembre

Ciao carissimi,

lo so che è un po' tardi per parlare dei miei preferiti di settembre ma non posso non presentarvi 5 prodotti che hanno "accudito" la mia pelle (mista e leggermente "lucida" nella T zone) durante il periodo estivo... le vacanze estive io le ho fatte a fine settembre...

Soap&glowy Flake Away body scrub: utilizzo questo scrub sia sul corpo che sul viso ed è miracoloso per eliminare i punti neri e ridare luminosità alla pelle.. è una crema piena di particelle "grattatrici" e ricco di olio di madorla e burro di carité per esfoliare e idratare la pelle con un unico gesto. p.s. pelli grasse all'ascolto, non utilizzatelo come scrub viso!

Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Gold Deposit: ogni estate lo includo nei miei preferiti.. praticamente fa capolino nel mio beaty lo stesso giorno in cui faccio il cambio di stagione! Illuminante/bronzer/blush e, con la pelle abbronzata funge anche da ombretto... aggiungo giusto matita marrone nella rima interna e mascara!

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast: Lisa Eldridge usa questa crema come primer ma io lo utilizzo come crema idratante dopo una maschera o come siero prima di andare a dormire. E' un gel semi trasparente che si assorbe velocemente e rende la pelle liscia e setosa... ottimo anche sulle labbra screpolate!

Anti-Blemish Solutions Oil-Control Cleansing Mask: dopo lo scrub, alle volte, utilizzo questa maschera per restingere un po' i pori - sinceramente non so se è giusto fare così ma so solo dirvi che il risultato è eccellente! La stendo sul viso con un vecchio pennello Elf da fondotinta, concentrandomi nella zona intorno al naso, mento e fronte, la lascio asciugare per qualche minuto e poi, con un panno o asciugamanino da viso e acqua tiepida, la tolgo. Risultato: pelle pulita e fresca.

Argan oil + Aloe Vera: Ho scritto questo post praticamnete solo per parlarvi di questo prodotto! Sicuramnte i benefici dell'olio di Argan sono molto conosciuti ma credo che quelli dell' aloe vera siano meno pubblicizzati. A Fuerteventura ho avuto la fortuna di incontrare Silvia, una ragazza italiana che lavora in un delizioso negozio di Corralejo e vende prodotti ricavati da Aloe vera fresca- link per info -  Mi ha spegato tante cose che non sapevo assolutamente e sebbene, ipnotizzata dalle sue parole avessi voluto prendere praticamente tutto quello che vedevo esposto intorno a me, questa è l'unica cosa che ho potuto acquistare- easyjet e le sue regole sui liquidi!Poche gocce di questo miracoloso prodotto nello shampo e creama corpo e la lucentezza è tornata ad essere una caratteristica della mia pelle e dei miei capelli: l'olio di argan per idratare e l'aloe vera per ridare alla pelle freschezza  e un aspetto sano. Holy Grail!

I know it is late for my September favorites and it is nearly time to post my October ones, but I really would like to share with you 5 amazing products that made my skin feel and look better!

Last month I have been on holiday for a few days and because I was spending most of my day between the beach and the pool (I know what you are thinking, it has been very tough!), I was really feeling the need of taking care of my face, my body and my hair and these are my fab 5:

Soap&Glowy Flake Away body scrub: this is a great body scrub that I personally use on my face too and it actually gets rid of black heads! It is a thick cream with tiny grains and because it is formulated with shea butter, sweet almond oil, makes the skin feel soft and hydreted at the same time

Mac Mineralized Skin Finish in Gold Deposit: my summer all time favourite! I love this highlighter/bronzer/blush especially when I am tanned... I use it as an eyeshadow too and it looks great with a brown pencil in the waterline and a few coats of mascara

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast: Lisa Eldridge uses it as a primer and it works great but I personally love to use it after a mask or a scrub when my face needs some moisture back in or at night instead of a serum. It is a clear gel therefore it is easy to absorb into the skin leaving a silky feeling and a well moisturized and plumped appearance. I use it on the lips too..

Anti-Blemish Solutions Oil-Control Cleansing Mask: after the scrub I love to use a mask to tighten up my pores - I really don't know whether this is what you are supposed to do but it works for me! - I have been using this Clinique Mask, applying it with an old Elf foundation brush, especially around my nose, chin and forehead. It is a white cream that dries up after few minutes and can be washed away with warm water and a face cloth. Good, refreshing and amazing for a clean and smooth skin!

Argan oil + Aloe Vera: I started writing this post because I wanted to talk you about this product! The benefits of Argan Oil are widely known but the power of pure aloe vera is a bit less advertised. I went to Fuerteventura and I was so lucky to meet Silvia, a lovely Italian lady working in a shop that sells products made from fresh Aloe Vera -link for more info. She talked me through all the benefits of this products and even though I wanted to buy half of them I could grab only this tiny little bottle - luggage restricting my dears! - and I was amazed of the effects on my tanned skin and dry hair after using only few drops of this miracle transparent liquid in my shampoo and body lotion:  Argan Oil for moisture and Aloe Vera to calm, heal and refresh. Holy Grail!

I was in London a while ago and I was in the hunt for containers and tools suitable for travelling... actually I wanted a lip palette to rescue some of my favourite lipsticks that got broken... and I passed by MUJI

无印食品 - products without printing - which is the gadget heaven... and this is what I got for less the 10£...

Qualche tempo fa ero alla ricerca di una palettina per conservare tutti i miei rossetti spezzati e qualche contenitore da viaggio per decantare creme e cremine e mi sono imbattuta in MUJI (punti vendita in Italia link)a Londra, un negozio meraviglioso, pieno di gadgets e oggettini simpatici, niente stampe o immagini- MUJI è appunto prodotti senza stampa - linee decise e semplici, plastica tenace e apparentemente di buona qualità...

 e questo è quello che ho comprato con meno di 10£

- circa 12 euro:

Plastic Palette with 6 compartments, Plastic contained with 6 compartments, Face Scrub Sponge with a pocket where I put my favourite soap bar

Autumn in Red...

I was supposed to write a post about my September favourite but the weather outside actually forced me to talk about autumn colours, warm reds and cool brown... and here it is what I came out with...

top left: Coppering, Yogurt, Naked Lunch
bottom left Quarry and Down Brown

1- I primed my eyelid with Urban Decay Primer Potion,

2- I applied Yogurt by Mac, all over the lid to create a smooth base - this is a very good matte eyeshadow that gives light and tidiness to the eye.

3- I then layered the hero of the look, Coppering by Mac, which can look a bit scary but it is actually an amazing colour. As you can see it has a red/pink/vibrant tone that doesn't make my eyes look tired or unhealthy.I applied it well above the crease, blending the colour outward and along the lower lash line.

4- I then started to create some shape and depth applying Quarry above the crease to create a junction with the brow bone and a hint of Down Brown in the outer corner.

5- Lastly I applied a little bit of Naked Lunch on the brow bone and inner corner to highlight and achieve a seamless shading. 

6- To be sure that the reddish colour would not clash with the eyes I applied a super thin line of eyeliner and some black eye kohl pencil along the water line, plenty of mascara e the trick is done.

I love love love this look and it really screams of autumn, it is simple and rich of warm hues without been dull or flat.

oggi avrei dovuto parlare dei miei preferiti del mese di settembre, ma il vento e il freddo mi hanno ispirato un trucco autunnale sui caldi toni del rosso e del marrone... ed ecco il risultato:

1- Prima di tutto ho steso su tutta la palpebra Urban Decay Primer Potion,

2- Ho poi applicato Yogurt di Mac su tutta la palpebra per creare una buona base sulla quale sfumare gli altri colori - Yogurt è un ottimo colore per uniformare la palpebra e dare luce, bello anche da solo, con una passata di mascara
3- A questo punto ho iniziato a stendere l'eroe del look, Coppering di Mac, che dal di fuori può sembrare un po' troppo rosso ma in realtà è un colore fenomenale. E' composto da tonalità sul rosso/rosa, un colore caldo e vibrante che non appensantisce l'cchio o lo rende stanco. Ho applicato il colore oltre la piega dell'occhio, sfumando verso l'esterno e allungandolo sino alla linea inferiore delle ciglia.

4- Ho poi iniziato a creare la forma e la profondità al look applicando Quarry appena sopra la piega della palpebra e un tocco di Down Brown nell'angolo esterno.

5- Come ultimo ombretto ho utilizzato Naked Lunch come highlighter lungo l'arcata sopraccigliare e nell'angolo interno per creare una sfumatura omogenea. 

6- Ho infine applicato una leggerissima linea di eyeliner per dare definizione alla base delle ciglia, matita nera nella rima interna e tanto mascara.. e il gioco è fatto!
